2:15 PM: NLS Standards Revisions Presented by EURA SZUWALKSI, Project Director, NLSBPH Standards Revision. The revision of the 2011 Standards and Guidelines of Service for the Library of Congress Network of Libraries for the Blind and Physically Handicapped started in late 2015 and is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2017. Singe the last standards were developed, there have been a number of significant changes in the operation of Network libraries and in the development and use of new technologies. The second draft, which was distributed via email in March 2017, represents a new approach to the Standards and Guidelines for network service providers of the NLS service. This presentation will provide an overview of changes from the current 2011 edition and allow for questions on the second draft.
