  • Project Gutenberg: Offers over 40,000 free ebooks.
  • Internet Archive: Source for accessible titles from a wide range of collections.
  • Christian Classics Ethereal Library: Offers several FREE e-versions, including volunteer-read audio, of classic works of the Christian church, with links to other commercial versions as well.
  • JBI International: Formerly the Jewish Braille Institute, offers audio and braille materials on Jewish history, Jewish authors, Judaism, and the Holocaust.
  • Xavier Society for the Blind: The National Catholic Lending Library for the Blind.
  • Audio Description Project of the American Council of the Blind: Lists which commercially available DVDs are audio-described.
  • American Printing House for the Blind: Braille and large print, tactile graphics, audio magazines, APHont typeface designed for low vision. Also, guidelines for producing accessible media.
  • Choice Magazine Listening A free quarterly magazine anthology on digital cartridge (or download from BARD) that consists of 12 hours of unabridged articles, stories, and poems chosen by three editors from over 120 periodicals and literary journals. The selections are professionally recorded and mailed as free matter to eligible subscribers every three months.
